What does GeneralBid do?

Bid management with automatic levelling. Each trade package has a levelling sheet, with scope lines from a trade template, your own list, or drafted from the spec section. Subs are checked for insurance and prequalification, invited from your directory or the GeneralBid network, and price your scope lines on a private link with no account; proposals they email to the package's own address are read onto the same lines for you to review. Every exclusion and omission is priced so the bids compare like for like, your own cost history suggests estimates, the questions go into a clarifications log, and the award is recorded with a memo, a watchlist of the gaps it carried, and every change order logged against it.

What problem does it solve?

A general contractor bidding a job sends invitations to sixty subs, receives eighteen bids by email in eighteen formats, and spends two days levelling them into a comparable spreadsheet to find that half exclude something different.

Bids arrive late, scopes have gaps nobody notices until construction, and a missed exclusion becomes a change order.

Subs meanwhile get blanket invitations for work they would never take.
